As one would expect, the values of homes throughout the state of Arizona suffered notable decreases in the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic. But in the months since, the market has rebounded in a big way.
247WallStreet.com reported that according to data compiled from the real estate information company Zillow, in the twelve month time span from January 2020 and January 2021, the average American single family home enjoyed an increase from $246,563 to $269,039. That's a spike of approximately 9.1%.
And in Marana, the average home value has grown even more.The 247WallStreet piece notes that the average single family home in Marana was valued at just under $315,000 this past January. That represents a 12.3% increase from January of 2020.
But Marana isn't the only town in Arizona to experience a significant increase in the value of single family homes. In fact, the report notes that Marana is actually one of 28 different cities in the state to experience a one year increase of the average home value by 12% of more. The most dramatic spike in home values over this period took place in El Mirage, where the average single family home increased in value by a whopping 21.1%.
